Tea Party Bigots: Not Welcome in Boston

The Tea Party is coming to Boston next Sunday, April 15, and as ever, they boast quite an assortment of bigoted asshats in their lineup of speakers.  Rick Santorum will be speaking, as will Brian Camenker of anti-gay hate group MassResistance.  And then, there's this fucker "reverend" Scott Lively, who co-wrote The Pink Swastika which actually contends that "rather than being victimized by the Nazis, gay men in Hitler's inner circle actually helped mastermind the Holocaust." [1]  His hateful rhetoric also inspired Uganda's proposed "Anti-Homosexuality Bill."

All out on 4/15 to show them that their hate and oppression are not welcome in our city.  Meet at 2PM on Boston Common at the corner of Charles and Beacon streets.

Rage Against Fascism a Success!

At last night's benefit show, attended by antifa allies from all over the region, Boston Antifa raised several hundred dollars towards the court costs of anti-Nazi activists facing charges related to protests against last spring's NSM gathering in Trenton, NJ.

While NEWP wasted their Saturday mornings trolling the wall of the facebook event with clever messages like 'the show is moved to tomorrow!' they definitely did not manage to dissuade the crowds.  Early in the night, a NEWP sticker was affixed to the front door at e5, but it was quickly removed and became a source of much laughter throughout the evening.  It seems even the geniuses of NEWP knew better than to crash a show packed wall-to-wall with antifa.

Many thanks to the bands (Darby's Ditch Diggers, The Workers and Second Half of the Season), the e5 volunteers, the event organizers and co-sponsors, and all the supporters who gave generously to the cause for making the Rage Against Fascism such a successful and fun event.
